Paul K. Geiger Obituary (1940 - 2018)

Paul K. Geiger, 77, of Churubusco, passed away at 2:21 p.m., on April 2, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Allen County on September 20, 1940, to Earl and Mary (Harter) Geiger. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1959. After high school he served in the National Guard. Paul was married on September 24, 1960, in Merriam, to Judy Kiester. He retired from Dana Axel Plant, Fort Wayne, in 1996 after 30 years of service. After he retired he went to work at Eel River Golf Course, which was his true passion. In his free time he loved playing with his grandkids, Paul was an avid golfer and IU fan. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Geiger; four children, Kathy (Eric) Allen, Tammie (Ray) Garza Jr., Brian (Tami) Geiger and Terry (Nikki) Geiger; three sisters, Mary Ann Gaerte, Bonnie Schirmeyer and Pauline Lane; two brothers, Charles (Joyce) Geiger and Harry Geiger; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen Bolenbaugh, Leona Uptgraft and Claire Nuenthel; a brother, George Geiger. Calling will take place at Sheet & Childs Funeral Home on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Calling also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Burial will follow at Stringtown Cemetery, Noble County.
