Michael Douglas Rennaker, 21, of Churubusco, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 22, 2020.\n\nBorn in Whitley County, on June 29, 1998, to Paul and Rebecca Sue (Becky Bell) Athy-Rennaker. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Churubusco High School in 2017. He went on to attend Ivy Tech and Purdue University of Fort Wayne where he was majoring in Political Science.\n\nMichael was currently employed with Ruby Tuesday where he was loved and able to continue his calling of serving the Lord.\nHe had a deep love for our county and is the Libertarian Party Nominee for the Indiana House of Representatives for district 82.\n\nMichael's truest passion was to spread the Love of Christ to others. He was passionate about the hurting and met people where they were. His heart was grown at Believers Bible Fellowship, now known as Christ Community Church.\n\nMichael is survived by his parents, Paul and Rebecca Rennaker; his little sister, Abigail Rennaker; four brothers, Joseph Lynn Rennaker, Paul Andrew Rennaker, Joshua Lee (Ashley Elizabeth Rae Reed) Athy and Sean Everett (Kristen Elizabeth) Athy; five nephews, Branson, Chandler, Cooper, Camden and Colston; his aunt, Melissa Sue Rennaker; parental grandparents, Darrell & Melenie Rennaker and Dianna & Huey Hazen; great grandparents, Mary Ann & Leonard Hazen; in addition to several other aunts, uncles and cousins.\n\nServices will be private.\nThe family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, on Friday, June 26, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\n\nBurial taking place at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.\n\nIn Lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the family.\n\nOnline note to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
