Larry Thomas Halt, 71, of Edwards, MO, and formerly of Churubusco, passed away on June 4, 2018, at Lake Regional Hospital.\nBorn in Fort Wayne on December 22, 1946, to Eddie and Loreta (Castor) Halt.\nHe was married in Churubusco on December 25, 1991, to Sherry Lynn Boggs. The couple moved to Edwards, MO in 1992.\nLarry was the President of Larry Halt & Associates, Inc. which was formed in 1977, focusing on leadership and sales development, for fortune 500 companies to small independent organizations. His philosophy is: "I believe that when we have achieved success as an individual, we have caused all people around us to prosper."\nHe enjoyed developing new things, from owning companies in many different industries to buying real estate and owning a Thoroughbred Horse Racing and Breeding Operation. He was a very strong self-driven man.\nLarry is survived by his wife, Sherry Halt of Edwards, MO; two daughters, Shellie Williams, Nashville, TN and Jodie (Tom) Lannan of New Palestine, IN; a step-Daughter: Starr (William) Slyby, Chicago, IL; two sisters, Kay (Maurice) Hartman and Linda (Charles) Castor; four granddaughters, Hillary (Trey) Keller, Jessica Williams, Shelby and Bailey Lannan; a grandson, Jacob Rigdon; a great granddaughter, Kennedy and a great grandson, Knox.\nHe is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Halt; mother, Loreta (Castor) Hodge; his son, Larry Thomas Halt, Jr.\nVisiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
