John Sherman, 47, of Columbia City, passed away on January 16, 2022, at his residence. \nBorn in Noble Co., on August 24, 1974, to Phillip and Grace (Bennett) Sherman.\nJohn spent his formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Churubusco High School in 1993. \nJohn and Holly McOmber were married on June 27, 1998, in Merriam.\nHe worked for Paragon Medical in Pierceton as a CNC operator.\nJohn was an avid pool player. He played in many tournaments around the area and Las Vegas.\n \nHe is survived by his wife of 23 years, Holly Sherman; his mother, Grace Sherman; two daughters, McKenna (Jacob) Criswell and Josie Sherman; three sisters, Michelle (Jack) Trammel, Deanna Bontrager, and Tammy (David) Green; one brother, Allen Sherman.\n \nHe was preceded in death by his Father, Phillip Sherman; a sister, Dawn Sherman; a brother, Timothy Sherman; his grandparents, Garland and Marjorie Bennett and Virgil and Edna Sherman. \nFuneral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the service.\nThe family will also receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. \nBurial will be at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.\n \nMemorials may be directed to the family, C/O Holly.\nOnline note to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
