Jimmie Roger Allman, 91, of Churubusco, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at Millers of Oak Point in Columbia City.\nBorn January 2, 1927, in Smith Township, to the late Cecil and Esther Isabelle (Cox) Allman. He graduated from Churubusco High School in 1945.\nAfter high school Jimmie served in the United States Army in World War II as a Sergeant.\nHe married Beulah Sloffer on October 9, 1949, at Ari Church of God. The couple have been married for 68 years.\nJimmie was the co-owner of C. F. Allman & Son Body Shop; retiring in 1990.\nHe was a 77 year member of the Churubusco United Methodist Church. Jimmie also belonged to the Churubusco Lodge 515 F&AM, was a member of the Churubusco American Legion Post #157, Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Churubusco Chamber of Commerce and served on the Churubusco Volunteer Fire Department.\nJimmie enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts at Camp Little Turtle and volunteering there with the "Over the Hill Gang".\nSurvivors include his wife, Beulah Allman of Churubusco; two sons, Roger (Carol) of Churubusco and Rex (Nancy) Allman of Winamac; a son-in-law, Steve (Dee) Fisher of Fishers; two foster sons, Dan Decker of Elida, OH and Lonny (Kate) Fuller of Pleasant Lake; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.\nJimmie was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Fisher, on July 31, 1998 and a sister, Imogene LeFever.\nFuneral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Churubusco United Methodist Church, 750 N. Main Street, Churubusco.\nCalling will be Friday, 4-8pm, at the Funeral Home, with one hour prior calling at the church on Saturday.\nOfficiating Rev. Kent Lundy and Rev. Charles Ternet.\nBurial will be in Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.\nFor those who wish, memorials may be directed to Churubusco United Methodist Church or Camp Little Turtle.
