Harold Lee Kirkpatrick, 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 8:51 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Fort Wayne.\nMr. Kirkpatrick was born on February 20, 1953 in Wolf Lake, a son of Frank and Alice (Powell) Kirkpatrick. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and attended Churubusco High School. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corp.\nHe is a retired carpenter.\nMr. Kirkpatrick was a member of Churubusco American Legion Post #157.\nThe surviving relatives include his five children, Shirel (Steve) Martin, Paul (Chandra) Butler, Adam (Tricia) Kirkpatrick, Nicole Kirkpatrick, and Aaron Kirkpatrick; two brothers, James (Bonnie) Kirkpatrick and William Kirkpatrick; three sisters, Gloria (James) Maggart, Mary Beth (Thomas) Bangs, and Sharon (Michael) Geiger; 17 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alice (Powell) Kirkpatrick, and a brother Donald Kirkpatrick\nFuneral services with Military rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Lane Burgland, officiating.\nThe family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, or one hour prior to the service.\nBurial will be held at a later date in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.\nFor those who wish, memorials may be directed to Churubusco American Legion Post 157.
