Edward "Ed" L. James 71, of Churubusco passed away December 4, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 1, 1946 in Portland, IN to the late Harold L. and Marie (Auker) James. He graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1966. He married Elizabeth (Simon) James on September 24, 1966 she survives. He was in the US Army. He was employed as a precision grinder with JB Tool in Fort Wayne for 25 years. He loved to play golf, fish woodworking and IU Basketball. He was a member of the Churubusco American Legion Post 157.\nSurvivors include two sons Michael J. (Denise) James of Huntington, David A. (Debra) James of Gilbert, AZ, grandson Wyatt K. James, two brothers Donny (Deb) James of Redkey, IN, DeWayne (Barbara) James of Albany, IN, one sister Pat (Robert) Hauch of Benton Harbor, MI, and his golden retriever dog "Cookie".\nFuneral services will be Thursday 10:00am December 7, 2017 at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home with calling one hour prior\nVisitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home\nGraveside service will be at 2:00pm at Dunkirk Odd Fellow Cemetery in Dunkirk IN.\nOfficiating will be Pastor Brad Millikan.\nMemorial may be made to Whitley Co.
