D. Eldora Rigsby, 92, a resident of Fort Wayne formerly of Churubusco passed away at 6:03 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Parkview Randallia.\nBorn on December 19, 1925 in Rome City. She was the only daughter of Rollo and Gladys (Conley) Eagleson. She spent her formative years in Rome City and graduated from Wolcottville High School.\nShe was married on February 9, 1946 to James R. Rigsby. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1971.\nEldora retired from North American Van Lines, Fort Wayne in 1998. She also operated the restaurant at Fortmeyer's Truck Stop.\nShe enjoyed gardening, embroidery and loved her family. She was a loving and giving person with a strong work ethic.\nEldora is survived by a step-son, James (Jean) Rigsby; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Lorena Dohm; two sons, Dewey Rigsby and Judd Rigsby.\nCalling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.\nServices will begin at 5:00 PM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2018.\nBurial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.\nPreferred memorials to Sheets & Childs Funeral Home.\nOnline condolences to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
