Donna Lothamer, 87, of LaOtto, passed away at 8:15 p.m., on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in Fort Wayne.\nBorn in Fort Wayne, on February 26, 1931, she is a daughter of the late Hugh & Faye (Lynch) Downing. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne.\nShe was married on February 28, 1948, in Fort Wayne, to Donald Francis. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2017, after 69 years of marriage.\nDonna work as a CNA at Byron Health Center and retired after 28 years. In her retirement she worked part time at Sacred Heart in Avilla. If she wasn't taking care of someone else she was being a nurse to her children.\nShe loved spending time with her family, especially going on family trips. She also enjoyed doing crafts, playing bingo and eating out at Big Eyed Fish.\nDonna is survived by her five children; Linda (Roger) Gick, Robert (Karen) Lothamer, Diana Heath, Ken (Lori) Lothamer, all of Fort Wayne and Tim Lothamer, of Roanoke; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great great grandson and her furry friend, Jasper.\nIn addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Lothamer; two brothers, Hugh "Butch" Downing and James Downing; three sisters, Karen Downing, Maxine Quickery and Judy Lothamer; two grandsons, Terry and Chad Linn.\nCalling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Monday July 2, 2018, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Calling also one hour prior to the service.\nServices will begin at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joe Community Church, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.\nBurial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.\nIn lieu of flowers please direct memorials to Parkview Home Health and Hospice.\nOnline guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
