Dennis J. McGuire, 68, of Kendallville, passed away on June 3, 2023. \n\nHe was born in Churubusco on March 11, 1955, to the late James and Arlene (Cox) McGuire. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School.\n\nAs the saying goes, "A man's work is from sun to sun, but a mother's work is never done." Dennis lived by this principle throughout his life as a dedicated asphalt worker and owner of McGuire's Asphalt for 30 years.\n\nDennis was a loving father to his son, Andrew (Timbra) McGuire; his daughter Holly (Randy) Frauenfelder; his sister, Linda (Michael) Krempel; seven grandchildren, Auston Mills, Ethen McGuire, Braydon McGuire, Kaylee Frauenfrlder, Alyssa McGuire, Kyler McGuire, and Andi McGuire; several great-grandchildren; two nieces, Angela (Andrew) Baxter, Brandy (Michael) Hicks. \n\nA public calling will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. \n\nDennis will be laid to rest at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.\n\nMemorials may be directed to Parkview Hospice.\n\nSheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
