Dale E. Duncan, 63, of Churubusco, Passed away on December 2, 2016 at 10:45 p.m., at Parkview Randallia Hospital, surrounded by his family.\nDale was born on July 23, 1953 in Fort Wayne, born to Earnest and Hulda (Kruse) Duncan.\nHe spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1971. He received his Bachelors degree from Taylor University, Upland.\nIn January of 1975 he took over ownership of Eel River Golf Course, from his uncle Luther "Bus" Duncan. He was also a Co - Founder of U.S. Automation in Huntertown.\nDale was a dedicated Christian and a member of the County Line Church of God, Auburn, he was proud to serve on the Farmers and Merchants Bank Board. He was also a long time member the of Churubusco Rotary and was a Paul Harris Fellow and the Churubusco Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Whitley County Community Foundation Board.\nDale married DeEtte "Dee" Leonard on January 28, 1984 in Campwood, Tx. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2011.\nFollowing the death of his 1st wife he was married to Julie (Robbins) Crabill on May 17, 2014, in Auburn.\nHe is survived by his wife Julie Duncan of Churubusco; his son, Andrew Duncan of Fort Bragg, NC; his daughter, Anna (Tyler Hockman) Duncan of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Joyce (Walt) Roberson, Jr. of Firestone, Co and Joan (Randy) Wilson of Churubusco; his step - son, Stuart (Caramee) Crabill of Butler; Shannon (Nick) Scheumann of Auburn; four grandchildren and a grandson due in March of 2017; and many nieces and nephews.\nFuneral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at County Line Church of God, Auburn.\nThe family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, or one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.\nIn Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to County Line Church of God, Auburn or Churubusco Youth Foundation C/O Sheets and Childs Funeral Home.
