Bradley P. Byrd, 66, of Churubusco, passed away on July 20, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.\n\nBorn in Fort Wayne, on November 4, 1952, to the late Wayne and Naomi (Phillips) Byrd. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, graduating from East Noble High School. He graduated from the University of West Georgia with a B.A. in psychology, where he also played baseball.\n\nIn 1970, he was a "Who's Who" in American High School Sports. In 1979, he participated in the Battered Boot for the March of Dimes in Douglas, Georgia.\n\nBradley is survived by a brother-in-law, Jim Schenher; four nephews; three nieces; several great-nieces and nephews.\n\nHe is preceded in death by his parents, and twin sisters, Georgia Schenher and Torchia Fry.\n\nAt Brad's request, there will only be private family services.\n\nBurial taking place at Christian Chapel Cemetery.\n\nMemorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.\n\nOnline Guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
