Barbara J. Hyndman, 84, of Churubusco, passed away on February 25, 2022, at Miller's at Oak Pointe in Columbia City. \nShe was born in Wabash, on August 19, 1937, to the late Robert and Miriam (Young) Weesner. She spent her formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Churubusco High School in 1955.\nBarbara was married to Roger Hyndman in Churubusco, on June 16, 1957. Roger preceded her in death on December 9, 1984.\nShe worked as a secretary at Churubusco High School for 32 years.\nShe was a member of the Churubusco United Methodist Church. Barbara enjoyed traveling and working in her flower garden.\nBarbara is survived by her two sons, Terry (Linda) Hyndman and Mark (Laurie) Hyndman; her sister, Carolyn (Kenny) Bultemeier; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.\nIn addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a half-brother, Verling Weesner.\nServices will take place at the Churubusco United Methodist Church on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with calling one hour prior to the service.\n \nThe family will also receive friends at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.\nBurial taking place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.\nMemorials to the Churubusco United Methodist Church Women.\nOnline Guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com.
