Andrea J. (Balser) Kinney Obituary (1952 - 2022)

Andrea J. Kinney, 69, of Churubusco, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at her home. She was born in Fort Wayne, on December 20, 1952, to the late Bernard and Dorothy (Wilson) Balser. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Northside High School. Andrea was married to Marvin S. Kinney, Jr. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2014, after 37 years of marriage. While her children were young, she was a stay-at-home mother. Later, she worked at BRC in Churubusco from 1985-2014. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and most recently spending time at Lake Atwood. She also was blessed the last four years to be able to spend time with her companion, David Dean. Andrea's surviving relatives include two sons, Greg McKinney and Bradley McKinney; two daughters, Emily (Seth) Perkins and Sarah (David) Fox; her companion, David Dean; a brother, Steve Balser; a sister, Amy Burns; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kinney, Jr.; her father, Bernard Balser; her mother, Dorothy Fridley; a brother, Ned Balser. The family will have private services.
